Online Learning

We offer a variety of high quality online classes that enrich and expand our students’ learning experiences and course options. Online courses are accredited and taught by Christian teachers and co-taught by our faculty who provide academic help, pacing assistance, and accountability. Students new to an online course begin with New Student Orientation that guides the student through the basics of being a successful online learner.

Lesson materials are engaging and interactive, providing students with a challenge, but also academic resources and the accountability needed to thrive. Students interact regularly with their teacher through email, phone conversations, and/or Skype. Online instructors provide constant feedback on assessments and assignments and engage students through discussion forums, course mail, and regularly scheduled calls and chats.

Our students may select from the following online courses (selection subject to change-contact the Guidance Office for details):

  • Game Design
  • Latin 2 and 3
  • Mobile Apps Programming
  • Foundations of Programming
  • Introduction to Computer Aided Design and Drafting (C.A.D.D.)
  • Engineering Computations with MATLAB

Harvard Business School professor Dr. Christensen predicts that by 2019, about 50 percent of high school courses will be delivered online. Briarwood Christian School is committed to thoughtfully leveraging online classes as we prepare our students for college and career.
